Slow cooked ribs are my preferred comfort food by far. Did a mix of beef and pork ribs, lightly seasoned with pepper and paprika, together with onions, garlic and carrots. A simple mashed potato as a side dish and bin appétit
Sometimes a simple(ish) omlette does wonders, even if it’s not perfect. ‘cheated’ a bit and added some milk and pesto cheese in the batter since I got a few weird cheeses to play with.
Is mid day shaorma 🥙 a good idea? Did a quick fresh shaorma for lunch (quick in relative terms, I was ill prepared so the prep took ages). Chicken tights, in the pan with a bit of oil, paprika and pepper. Light onion, tomato and cucumber salad. A simple yogurt and garlic sauce. And some quick made fries by cutting them nice and thin.
Since it’s always tricky to find free time with a toddler I did the usual cheat bought the pasta, and used frozen spinach. For what it’s worth they are “bio”. To not cut the sauce, after I cooked the onions in a bit of oil, I made a simple roux, with some flour and milk, then added the milk, sour cream, and spinach, keeping the heat really low and slowly increasing it....
Slow cooked beef with sauteed green beans. A cheap cut is always good when slow cooked, together with some light seasoning with paprika, salt and pepper, and with leek, garlic and carrots for some extra flavor. I kept it in the oven for about 6 hours at 140 degrees on ventilation only. The green beans were sauteed with lots of garlic and a touch of butter at the end.
Lazy Sunday means a slow cooked pork in the oven for 6 hours :P. Nothing fancy on the seasoning, just some rosemary and paprika (normal and smoked) with some onions, carrots and red bell pepper. I was out of garlic, so no tzatziki for the dressing, just some oven roasted potatoes with the same seasoning.
First time I ever fried the rice. Otherwise pretty easy with mushrooms, leek and chicken.
Stewish food with a lot of veggies to stay stronk :D. Bell peppers, carrots, corn, zucchini and onions with some simple pork meat seasoned lightly with smoked paprika, paprika, pepper and salt
Rustic burgers with home made buns(by the wife) , buffolo mozzarella, onions, potatoes and some hidden pickled cucumbers.
Insta pasta with some interesting pesto made out of kale, brocoli, caju, onion, carrot and garlic.
